Scores of supporters wished him to become the next chief minister of the state as they reached the RJD office to join his birthday celebrations amid angry protests by the Annganwadi sevikas outside the office, seeking hike in their monthly remuneration and status of government employees.
While Tejashwi said he was happy to work under CM Nitish Kumar and to see Bihar moving on the path to progress and prosperity, his well-wishers had only wish: “May Tejashwi gets the throne of Bihar sooner than later.” Just everyone made their wish public on being asked by the media person what they wished from the deities on Tejashwi’s birthday.
“We wish Tejashwi becomes the chief minister of Bihar in 2025,” exclaimed Khagaria district EBC (Cell) president Rajesh Kumar Mandal, chewing cake in his mouth.
State president of RJD (women wing) and party spokesperson Ritu Jaiswal said the people have begun seeing “possibilities” in him as Bihar has got a good leader in the form of Tejashwi Yadav. “
Log unme sambahwanayen dekh rahe hain,
” Jaiswal said, adding all women congratulated him on his birthday.
Another well-wisher was happy to see him distributing appointment letters among the jobless youths to fulfill his pre-poll commitment. “
Wo tatkal CM bane aur yuwayon ko naukari den
,” he wished. It was not surprising then that the RJD too celebrated his birthday as “Rozgar Diwas”.
But what about Nitish? “He will become the PM after the 2024 Lok Sabha polls,” he said.
Quite a good number of people had gathered at the party office to wish Tejashwi on his birthday while in Bihar state assembly, Speaker Awadh Bihari Choudhary extended him warm wishes on behalf of the House to which the RJD leader profusely thanked everyone.
Tejashwi on his part said he was happy to fulfil the commitment he had made to the voters during the 2020 state assembly campaign and that Bihar is scripting a new chapter of success.
Curiously, demands for “future CM” come amid Bihar CM Nitish Kumar caught in an unseemly controversy over his birth control remarks that has generated much heat across the country prompting the CM to tender apologies and express regrets in public.
