Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, faced yet another setback at the box office, with her latest release, Tejas, failing to hit the mark.
The film is nows among the recent string of box office disappointments in the film industry. It is also among Kangana’s lowest-performing films t0 date. Directed by Sarvesh Mewara, Tejas was produced on a budget of Rs 70 crore, and earned an estimated Rs 4.25 crore by the end of its theatrical run in the country.
According to BollywoodHungama, Tejas is expected to generate approximately Rs. 70 lakhs through its theatrical run.While the distributor’s share in India amounts to a mere Rs. 1.91 crores, the overseas distributor’s share amounts to Rs. 32 lakh.
The report further adds that the satellite, digital streaming, and music rights for the film are projected to yield around Rs. 17 crores. These figures, when combined, total up to a modest Rs. 19.23 crores.
This is said to be a significant financial setback, not just affecting the producers, but also lead actress Kangana.
Tejas, in addition to Kangana Ranaut, features a cast that includes Anshul Chauhan, Varun Mitra, Anuj Khurana, Veena Nair, and others.

According to the portal, this is the actress’ fifth consecutive box office failure. Judgementall Hai Kya, Panga, Thalaivii and Dhaakad, have all hit the mark at the ticket window.
Kangana will hope to end her year on a box office high with the release of ‘Emergency’. The film is a biographical historical drama, directed and produced by Ranaut. Based on the Indian Emergency, it will see the actress taking on the leading role of Late Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi.
