Tiger 3 box office collection day 5: Salman Khan’s film witnesses a huge drop in collections, to earn over Rs 11 crore | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 emerged as the best Diwali day opener so far at the box officewith its phenomenal opening collections of Rs 44.50 crore. The movie witnessed tremendous growth on day 2 but it experienced a sudden drop in its collection due to working days and the nail-biting India Vs New Zealand World Cup semifinal on Wednesday. On Thursday, the Maneesh Sharma directorial has further witnessed a huge drop, marking the lowest day for the YRF spy universe.
According to early estimates, Tiger 3, which also stars Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi in the lead along with Shah Rukh Khan’s starry cameo as Pathaan, is expected to earn over Rs 11 crore on day 5, which will bring its total domestic collection to Rs 180 crore.

As the match gained momentum, the occupancy rates for the film witnessed a sharp fall on Wednesday with the night occupancy of Tiger 3 in theatres coming down to 20.97 per cent compared to 41.36 per cent on Tuesday.

Despite this huge decline, the Salman starrer is expected to show bigger growth on Friday, followed by the upcoming weekend. It will be interesting to see how Tiger 3 will bounce back and show its true potential, the way Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan and Pathaan and Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 did on arrival.
Meanwhile, Tiger 3 has collected Rs 271.50 crore in global gross box office collection in four days of its release, said the makers on Thursday. Set after the events of Pathaan, the movie is a sequel to the 2017 film Tiger Zinda Hai. The latest film in the YRF Spy Universe follows Salman’s eponymous spy as he races against time to save his family and country.
